Dare. Progress. Shine.

Our mission

Fast and Female Geneva (FFGVA) is an association but above all a community of passionate women. Our mission: challenge the conventions of a sport that is still too male-dominated and make cycling accessible to women in Geneva, regardless of their age or experience.

FFGVA is a member of the #fastandfemaleSUI programme, a Swiss Cycling initiative dedicated to women’s cycling. By joining this network, we are part of an ecosystem of women’s cycling groups and associations across Switzerland.

Who is it for?

FFGVA welcomes all women, without exception:

  • Beginners / RookiesThose who can already ride but still lack confidence: never ridden in a group, or not yet comfortable grabbing a bottle while riding.
  • Regular ridersThose who already ride regularly and feel at home in a group, ready to step up: hold a stronger pace, build endurance and bike-handling skills.
  • Experienced ridersThose with plenty of miles in their legs, who enjoy riding longer or harder and sharing what they know.
  • Fun firstThose who ride for the fun of it, at their own pace and in a friendly atmosphere.

No need to be a pro, no need to have the latest bike. All you need is the desire to ride.

In practice

Our rides are free and open to everyone, even without membership. For workshops and special events, members enjoy preferential rates, and some are even free.

A note on the word “women” For readability, we use the word “women” on this site. It refers to the whole FLINTA* community. If that’s you, you’re at home here.
*women, lesbians, intersex, non-binary, trans and agender people

Our rides and activities are currently reserved for women, in line with our mission to create a space where everyone can progress with confidence. In accordance with the guidelines of Swiss Olympic and the FOSPO on gender balance in sport, we plan to eventually organise mixed rides led by women and to include men on our committee.

Our values

  • 01 Sisterhood A space of freedom and solidarity among women
  • 02 Inclusivity Everyone is welcome, regardless of level
  • 03 No Drop Policy We never leave anyone behind
  • 04 Kindness Growing together, without judgement
  • 05 Empowerment Growing through cycling, gaining confidence
  • 06 Self-improvement Pushing your limits, at your own pace

The Committee

Behind this project, eight committed, sporty, and dynamic women embody the association's values every day.

Caroline

President & Founder

Mother of two girls and a lover of wide open spaces, Caroline lives life at full speed. While she takes her projects very seriously, she never forgets to have fun. Between her two cats and her collection of skis and bikes (which she even ends up showering in the bathroom), her daily life is a true adventure.

Sofia

Vice-President

A planning expert and data enthusiast, Sofia is probably already up in the mountains as we speak. Between analyses, she hunts for Strava trophies, always on a matte black bike. Her promise? She'll bring you up that hill.

Giulia

Head of Finance

With Italian-Spanish roots, Giulia embodies Girl Power every day: mother of three girls, no less! Between comic book sessions, she disconnects outdoors: cycling, running, hiking or skiing, any sport will do as long as there's movement. Her favourite question? 'See you at the next ride?'

Livia

Secretary General & Head of Communications

Always ready for a new challenge, Livia is a creative strategist whose shelves overflow with board games. Since March 2025, she added a new rule to her game: cycling. She names each of her bikes, and on the road she's a real diesel: never the quickest off the mark, but she always catches the group in the end.

Dune

Board Member

Torn between crepes and fondue, Dune rides above all for the pleasure of the table! Driven by sisterhood, she loves sharing her knowledge and coaching others, always with a new musical gem in her ears. But for her, the thirst for knowledge is never as great as the desire to discover the next landscape (or the next snack).

Olivia

Board Member

A seasoned traveller and avid reader, Olivia can say 'hello' to cyclists in five different languages. Between a yoga pose and a guitar chord, she puts sharing at the heart of her adventures. Good news: she has finally found the ideal riding companion, her dream bike, ready to carry her on her next far-flung expeditions.

Marguerite

Board Member

Long mountain epics are her thing. Passionate about women's sport, Marguerite loves bringing people together and riding in good company. An organiser at heart and animal lover, she'll happily swap her bike for dog-sitting duties whenever she can. Her secret for keeping a smile in the rain? A pair of washing-up gloves, the ultimate shield against the weather.

Marta

Board Member

Smiling even when her legs are burning: that's Marta's signature. Her dream combo? A long bike ride ending at a great restaurant. Between snapshots taken on the fly, she pushes herself in races while learning to tame the mountains. An architect of shared projects, she puts all her energy into ambitious sporting initiatives.
