Marta lines up on the Gran Fondo of La Reine — the 100% women’s cyclosportive in Gstaad.
La Reine is a strictly women’s cyclosportive held every year in Gstaad, in the Swiss Alps. The format is unique in Switzerland: no traditional ranking over the whole route, but timed only on three specific segments — the idea being to put fun, safety and friendliness ahead of performance.
The Gran Fondo
Across 140 kilometers and 3000 meters of elevation gain, the Gran Fondo strings together the rolling roads of the Saanenland.
Marta’s performance
Wearing bib 196, Marta covered the three timed segments in a combined total of 2h31min56s, finishing 104th in the combined ranking. A great performance in a one-of-a-kind atmosphere: 500 women cyclists gathered to celebrate riding together.
