The Ultra Night Ride Lyon-Genève is a fully self-supported night cycling race linking Lyon to Genève. No stages, no support — each rider manages their own food, mechanics and sleep.

The flat that changes everything

After one hour of racing, Sofia flats. In a peloton race, that means instant elimination: impossible to come back to the group once the wheel is fixed. She finds herself riding alone, no relays, no draft, no peloton dynamics to help eat up the kilometers.

On legs and grit alone, she reels riders in through the night, passing one after another, and crosses the line 6th woman in 12h08. A demonstration of mental strength and resilience that confirms her ultra-distance ambitions.
